Happy Halloween from Jura

No, I'm not on Jura now, but I hope Skull is. In the summer of 2010 I left him in a small cave in Glengarrisdale. I heard from someone (who sent me the second photo) that Skull was still there in the summer of 2014. Aside from deer hunters, I doubt if Glengarisdale receives many visitors in late October. But if one of them does wander into a small cave near the bothy, I hope Skull is there to give them a fright.

Looks like this your tribute to the infamous "McLean's Skull" which was an ancient relic and disappeared from a Glengarrisdale cave several years ago. It is mentioned in several publications about Jura and it's history. Never got to the west coast of Jura and now, at 70, it will have to be by boat if I am ever to make it!

Thanks Marc. Just enjoyed a read of all your Jura postings. It is our favourite island. Best memory was taking 12 year old grandson and bikes on Gemini to Kinachruadach. We walked to see Corryvreakin, then rode to Inverlussa, where there was a good B&B (now gone). Then a night at The Jura Hotel, a return to Ardlussa for The Jura Sports, Gemini back to Crinnan and we were in our Manchester beds by midnight. Only 2 nights away, but a great trip. Grandson Josh is 25 now and still talks about it.
